Sprouting mung beanS is so simple and cheap to do. I bought 2 scoops of dried mung beans from the bulk food shop (about $1 worth). Takes a few days to get the sprouts happening.
1/4 cup dried mung
Soak beans over night in water (fill container so it covers the beans by inch of water) for 24 hours.
Drain water. Then transfer to a jar. Use cheese cloth or a clean chux to cover the jar, and place in a bowl tilted, so excess water can drain. Cover with tea towel to keep out of sunlight.
Drain and rinse sprouts twice a day, returning back to tilted position in bowl.
Keep repeating rinsing of sprouts till they are the size you want. (Usually 2-3 days)
